Rhythm Heaven

Rhythm Heaven

A while back I posted about a neat little rhythm game, that I personally could find no fault with, called Rhythm Tengoku Gold. Well after scouring VGReleases.com for a bit I stumbled across a couple of expected European and U.S. release dates of the English version of the game. i.e. Rhythm Heaven.

I ran right over here and had to post about it because even though I’ve played and completed the Japanese version, the idea of it coming to England is still awesome. X3 Tough I must say I’m interested to know what they’re going to do about the Japanese song lyrics. Even though it’d be kind of cool if they left them as they are, I’m sure quite a few of the English gaming community could have issues with it. Thus I imagine they’ll change at least some of the songs, I just hope they’re as good as the originals.

Now this is all very good news, but we’re gonna have to wait for it. D: The expected European release, (according to VGReleases.com) is th 27th of February 2009, while the U.S. release is expected for the second quarter of 2009. I say let cross our fingers and hope the dates don’t change for the worse.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon out in Europe in December

That one guy from Fire Emblem

That one guy from Fire Emblem

Okay so I’ll admit before I get too far into this: I’ve never played played any game from the Fire Emblem series ever, in my life. BUT my friend has and I know she loves the series, so I thought to myself, why not dedicate this post to her. (I totally thought of you when I heard the news Mushroom-Cookie!)

Yeah, so I’ve heard that the Fire emblem games are pretty awesome, so why wouldn’t the developers bring it to the DS? No reason at all, that’s why it’s on it’s way! According to my trusty news site www.nintendo.co.uk Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon should be hitting the European shelves in early December.

This particular version is based on the NES game Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the bllade of light, that was never actually released in Europe, Of course it has a lot more to offer now, like Wifi gameplay in adition to regular gameplay and other awesome stuff like that. Kind of makes me want to try it myself.

Korg DS-10

Korg DS-10

I was browsing the news section of www.nintendo.co.uk earlier and came across an interesting game to be released on October the 10th. It simply allows you to create music on the DS.

Now there are a few games that allow you to simulate the playing of music on the market already, things along the lines of Electroplankton. But this game (though it’s not really a game but more of a application)  strikes me as slightly different, I think it’ll have a slightly more professional feel to it, enabling the user to actually create music as opposed to arranging pre-created sounds. Either wayIt sounds like it’ll be pretty awesome to me, so I reckon I’ll most definitely be getting a copy.

I guess this just adds to the many non-gaming abilities the DS has. I’ll be sure to update you on this game when it actually gets released. Maybe I’ll do a post on what the DS is capable of in the future too. =3
