Animal crossing: Let’s Go to the City!
Saturday, November 1st, 2008Now I know this is a DS research blog but every now and then I’m not going too be able to resist chatting about Nintendo Wii games. This is one of those times.
Now I’m not sure if you’ve played Animal crossing: wild world on the DS, but if you have and you’re like me you’ll probably know that it was amazingly fun for the first few months before it dried off into a repetitive grind to sell fruit, pull weeds and pay your mortgage. D: And mercy on the person who left their game untouched for a week only to come back facing a house overrun with cockroaches. DX
Yeah, so basically the lesson I learned from wild world was that if a game doesn’t have a point to it I WILL get bored. And yet…I’m so looking forward to ‘Let’s go to the City’ (or City Folk for the U.S.), it’s like when fat people say they need to lose weight then they go out to buy donuts. D:
To be fair the new Wii game will have more features than the DS version. For starters, you can actually leave the town and head for the city for shopping and concerts and what not ( though I bet the concerts will probably just be that dog playing the guitar again. X3). Also there’s a neat little chat feature with which you can speak to other players, yes actually speak! But you’ll need to get a Wii-speak mic in order to do that. Either way it’s still pretty cool. =3 I just hope it doesn’t get too repetitive too quickly.
It comes out on the 16th of November in the U.S. I believe and the 5th of December in Europe. Will you get a copy? I know I probably will. X3
